The Yazoi Hill Tribe bag is made out of traditional tunics that the Karen Hill Tribe women wear. The yarn is hand spun, the fabric is woven in hand looms and the tunic is hand embroidered with geometric designs after it is sewn. Tiny “Job’s Tear” seeds from an annual tropical grass plant are harvested and used in the embroidery as embellishment. An amazing artisan work that unfortunately is slowly disappearing, these pieces are now being sold under glass frames as artworks for wall decorations.
